In the Lam Dong province of the central highlands, this coffee is grown at high altitudes, in rich, volcanic soil. A group of small-holders contribute to this micro-lot, most of whom rely solely on coffee farming to support their families. A village-based quality improvement program has enabled the farmers to rely less on middleman traders and take ownership of coffee trading from their region.
